NEW FUNCTIONALITIES OF NANOSTRUCTURED OXIDE MAGNETICS

Abstract:
The report concentrates on elucidation of new effects which were experimentally revealed in composite thinfilm structures based on a certain class of oxide materials — ABO3 perovskite oxides. Important results in this direction started to appear only in recent years when advances in thin-film technologies have made it possible to fabricate high-quality multicomponent films. A special attention is paid to the works which are performed with the participation of the scientists of Institute of Magnetism of NAS of Ukraine and MES of Ukraine and which allowe revealing qualitatively new functionalities in artificial oxide structures and developing prototypes of magnetically tuned devices.
Keywords: multifunctional elements, perovskite heterostructures, oxide magnetics, magnetocaloric effect, negative refraction index materials.

Language of article: ukrainian.
