To the 110th anniversary of Academician M.M. Bogolyubov
August 21 marks the 110th anniversary of one of the giants of science of the XX century, prominent mathematician and theoretical physicist academician M.M. Bogolyubov. He has been recognized worldwide for his tremendous contribution to science in a variety of fields - nonlinear mechanics, nuclear physics, quantum field theory, high energy physics, statistical mechanics, condensed matter physics, and the like. The works of this brilliant scientist have significantly changed the landscape of each of these directions. No less impressive mark was left by him as the organizer of science - departments, research groups, institutes created by him have been successfully operating to this day, and the Bogolyubov school, which has grown on his ideas, has been successfully developing in the fourth generation. Bogolyubov's authoritative opinion was crucial in making a number of decisions concerning the scientific and technological progress in the USSR, he was listened to by the international scientific community, and his contribution to strengthening the international cooperation of the then USSR is difficult to overestimate.
