The legacy of H.S. Skovoroda and modernity (to the 300th anniversary of birth)

Abstract

The report highlights a wide range of issues related to different aspects of Hryhorii Savich Skovoroda's legacy, the research and understanding of its relevance to the present. Today, when the issues of Ukrainian national identity, Ukrainian cultural traditions and integration of Ukraine into the European cultural and political space are of particular importance, it is necessary to intensify the participation of scientific institutions of the NAS of Ukraine in further studying and popularizing the heritage of H.S. Skovoroda and his ideas. This will help to shape the modern image of Ukrainian culture as an integral component of European civilization and to strengthen the international authority of national humanities.
