CIVILIZATION PROJECT OF UKRAINE: FROM AMBITIONS TO REAL OPPORTUNITIES

Abstract:
On the eve of the 25th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence it can be stated that the further development of our country largely depends on the conscious civilization-defining choice. The article discusses this choice as an option to define a lifestyle and values, paradigms and strategies to advance one’s own progress. With the aim to comprehend the problems of civilization-defining choice the methodology of meta-anthropological potentialism is used. It is stressed that the efficient civilization-defining choice of Ukraine means the creation of a civilization project, which is primarily based on a decent self-realization of a person. An emphasis is laid upon the role of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the relevant process, since NAS is able to create paradigms for civilization reforms, generalize strategies, perform analysis of futurological development scenarios and evaluate potential socio-humanitarian hazards and risks.
Keywords: civilization-defining choice, meta-anthropological potentialism, self-realization of a person.

Language of article: ukrainian
