January 17 marks the 80^th anniversary of the prominent in Ukraine and abroad statesman, scientist, initiator of creation and the first General Director of the National Space Agency of Ukraine (1992-1994), Secretary of the National Security Council under the President of Ukraine and Adviser to the President of Ukraine on National Security (1994-1996), Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (1996-1999, 2006), director of the Institute for National Security Problems (2003-2010), Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies (2014-2018), first Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (from 2015), one of the authors of the Concept of National Security and Defense of Ukraine, Concept of Structural Adjustment of Defense Industrial Complex of Ukraine, Military Doctrine of Ukraine and other key documents of the state development strategy, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of NAS of Ukraine V.P.
