October 21 marks the 80th anniversary of the well-known Ukrainian scientist in the field of paleontology, stratigraphy, marine geology, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, laureate of the State Prizes of Ukraine in Science and Technology, Director of the Institute of Geological Sciences of NAS of Ukraine, initiator of creation and the first Director of the Center for Antarctic Studies of NAS of Ukraine, Scientific Director of the National Antarctic Scientific Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine P.F. Gozhik.
