PRACTICAL QUESTIONS OF THE NEW EDITION OF UKRAINIAN SPELLING
Interview with Candidate of Philological Sciences O.I. Skopnenko
At the end of January 2020, the “Naukova Dumka” Publishing House organized for the Academy staff a seminar on changes in the new edition of Ukrainian spelling. The lecture was delivered by the Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the Potebnia Institute of Linguistics of the NAS of Ukraine, Candidate of Philological Sciences Oleksandr Skopnenko. After the seminar, we talked with him about pressing issues regarding the application of spelling standards in the 2019 edition, which are faced daily by editorial staff of academic journals.
