The report discusses the results obtained by scientists at the Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology of NAS of Ukraine in cooperation with scientists of the Laboratory of Cell Physiology of the University of Lille during the study of cellular, molecular and biophysical mechanisms of prostate carcinogenesis. The results obtained are important for clarification of the fundamental questions of the participation of membrane calcium transport structures, as well as changes in the mechanisms of regulation of intracellular calcium homeostasis in malignant degeneration of prostate epithelial cells and for the detection of molecular targets in the treatment of prostate cancer.
