SYNANTHROPIZATION OF THE FLORA AND VEGETATION — A SERIOUS THREAT TO BIODIVERSITY
III All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference “Synanthropization of the Plant Cover of Ukraine”

The results of the Third All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference “Synanthropization of the Plant Cover of Ukraine” are discussed in the paper. The scientific forum was held on September 26-27, 2019, in Kyiv. Many botanists and ecologists from different regions of Ukraine participated in this conference. A number of issues concerning the impact of non-native plants on the environment were discussed. It was emphasized that the synanthropization of the plant cover of Ukraine is becoming catastrophic, and it causes enormous damage to the environment, economy of the country, and public health. However, public authorities are, unfortunately, still not fully aware of the scale of the problem.
