LANGUAGE OF PUBLISHING: GLOBAL TRENDS AND NATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS

The article analyzes the changes in language of publication distribution in publishing products of NAS of Ukraine in recent years. Against the background of world tendencies of decreasing circulation and increasing number of book publications, the increase in the quantity of books written in Ukrainian and English and the reduction of Russian language publications is noted. This will certainly lead to further modernization of Ukrainian scientific language and scientific terminology development, as well as to improvement of scientific language culture. A significant role in achieving these goals is played by the execution of Targeted complex program “Creation and development of scientific and publishing complex of NAS of Ukraine”. This program involves preparation and edition of high quality specialized scientific publications.
