The article considers a complex approach to development facilities for express-diagnostics of the linear part of main pipelines which include using experimental and design methods of determining the stress-strain state of pipelines on dangerous parts, including presence of crack-type defects, and estimating the probability of emergency situation. Such estimation allows making a reasoned decision on continuation of the pipeline operation or necessity to suspend it for damage repair. Examples of elimination of some widespread damages in the form of longitudinal cracks are presented.
Keywords: main pipelines, linear part, diagnostics of a technical state, damages, operation safety.
