SPATIAL DEVELOPMENT OF UKRAINE IN GLOBAL VISION

The problem of territorial management, in particular planning, remains urgent in Ukraine as well as in the most of countries in the world. In this area, on the basis of balanced assessment of internal and external development factors, territorial capital, the competitiveness of the economy, human well-being, favorable environmental conditions and eventually most of the opportunities for ensuring the sustainability at the state, regional and community levels have been forming. The article focuses on the concept of spatial development and global dimensions that determine its success and effectiveness. The main directions of modern planning discourse, features and strategic goals of spatial planning in Ukraine are defined in this context.
