THE COMPUTER — YOUR VIRGIL IN THE WORLD OF ATOMS

Abstract:
Over the past decades, there is a tendency that on the thorny path to the Nobel Prize chemistry usually accompanies biology. But last year, they were joined computer technology. Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2013 was awarded to Martin Karplus, Michael Levitt, and AriehWarshel for “the development of multiscale models for complex chemical systems”.

Keywords: Nobel Prize, molecular dynamics of biomolecules, computer models, quantum chemistry, molecular mechanics, QSAR.
